Martyn Thompson is Professor of Political Science at Tulane University and on the faculty of the Murphy Institute. His many publications include Ideas of Contract in English Political Thought in the Age of John Locke, several edited volumes and over fifty journal articles in jounrals such as History and Theory, Political Theory and the Journal of the History of Ideas.
