Jonathan Riley is Professor of Philosophy at Tulane University and a faculty member of the Murphy Institute. His books include Liberal Utilitarianism; J.S. Mill: On Liberty, and Mill’s Radical Liberalism: An Essay in Retrieval. He is the editor of J. S. Mill’s Principles of Political Economy and the co-editor of Constitutional Culture and Democratic Rule.
