Jennifer Beers
2008-2009 Graduate Fellow
Jennifer Beers earned her B.A. (magna cum laude) in philosophy from Loyola University New Orleans in 1997 and her M.A. in philosophy from Tulane in 2000. She is a doctoral candidate in Tulane’s Department of Philosophy, writing her dissertation (tentatively titled “Poetry, Philosophy, Politics and Love: Aristophanes’ influence on Plato’s Symposium”) under the direction of Professor Ronna Burger. Her research interests include classical philosophy and culture, classical political philosophy and philosophy of religion.
