Jonny Anomaly

2005-2006 Graduate Fellow

Jonny Anomaly earned his B.A. in Philosophy and History from the University of California at Berkeley (1998) and his M.A. in Philosophy and Education at Columbia University (2001). He earned a Ph.D Philosophy from Tulane University in 2006, and wrote his dissertation, “An Internalist Theory of Practical Reasons” under the supervision of Professor Gerald Gaus.

Dr. Anomaly is Lecturer at the Program in Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law at the University of Virginia. His current research interests include decision theory, ethics, and the relationship between personal identity and rational choice.

He is the author of “Nietzsche’s Critique of Utilitarianism,” Journal of Nietzsche Studies, 2005.
