Julinna C. Oxley

Julinna C. Oxley received a B.A. (cum laude) in Philosophy and English Literature from Wheaton College in 1995, and an M.A. in Philosophy from Boston College in 1998, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy in Philosophy from Tulane University in 2006. She is completed her dissertation, “Empathy in Contractual Theories of Ethics” under the director of Professor Gerald Gaus.

Dr. Oxley is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Coastal Carolina College. Her research interests include contemporary ethical theory, meta-ethics, political philosophy, Kantian constructivism, and emotions and practical reasoning.
